Correction to planning article in Evening Standard

Rather annoyingly, this is the second Evening Standard article that we have had to correct in the last few weeks. Here’s our letter:

“In your article RBS banker wants to build modern home next to National Trust treasure, you state that: “The [National] trust has urged the council to throw out the plans.”  This is not the case. In correspondence with your reporter, we stated categorically and in writing that we did not raise formal objections to the plans. As a neighbour to the project we sought clarification over a number of issues including potential impacts on Fenton House and how the developers proposed to manage impacts such as dust, which is a normal part of any planning application. To say that the developer has “come under attack from the National Trust” is a complete distortion of the facts.”
